Brazil youth winger promoted to Corinthians futsal squad

On the afternoon of this Friday (2), Corinthians announced, on their social media, the promotion of winger Igor Bredof, who was part of the Under-20 team, to the professional squad permanently. The young player will turn 21 in March and has already exceeded the age limit for youth categories, necessitating the move to the main team.

According to the portal Meu Timão, his contract with Corinthians ends in December 2026. Before being permanently promoted, Bredof had already played 12 times with the professionals, scoring four goals and providing one assist. Additionally, there were eight wins, two draws, and two losses.

His debut with the Corinthians professionals took place in late April 2025 in a 6-0 victory over Campo Mourão in the National Futsal League (LNF) at the Wlamir Marques Gymnasium. The young player played an important role in winning the Under-20 Paulista Championship in the modality and in the campaign for third place in the Talentos LNF.

Igor Bredof also won the São Paulo Under-20 Cup at the beginning of 2025. His good performance led to his call-up to the Brazilian National Team of the category, participating in the victory of the Futsal Evolution League. At the end of this season, Corinthians officially renewed the contracts of goalkeepers Lucas Oliveira, Kelvin, and Vitor Koji, defenders Lucas Martins, Da Bonja, and Caio Barros, pivot Rick, as well as wingers Renatinho, Lucas Morales, Maicon, and Vandinho.

On the other hand, leaving Parque São Jorge were defender Marlon, pivot Israel Neto, and wingers Igor Carioca, Edimar, Luizinho Brizzi, and Luisinho. Those who belonged to the Under-20 team until 2025 transferred to other teams: Hélio Neves, Andrey, Yann, Axel Muñoz, and Iván Monteros.

The Corinthians futsal team returned to activities this Friday (2) at Parque São Jorge, already focusing on the pre-season in Japan. The Alvinegro returns to the court next Saturday (10) at 3 pm (Brasília time) to face Nagoya Oceans. In 2025, Fernando Malafaia's team will compete in the Supercopa Gramado, Paulista Championship, and National Futsal League (LNF).
