Brazil’s Série A clubs pass R$ 1 billion in sales, Vasco lead

According to Globo.com, Brazil’s Série A clubs have generated more than R$ 1 billion from player sales in the first month of the year, across 32 departures, with Vasco leading the list.
Vasco have banked about R$ 188.191 million, largely driven by Rayan’s transfer to Bournemouth. The English club paid around 35 million euros, 28.5 million fixed, valued at R$ 178.826 million. Leandrinho’s move to Al Sharjah added R$ 9.365 million.
Internacional are next with R$ 150.316 million. The Vitão deal is set at R$ 64.077 million. They also received 10 million euros, R$ 63.880 million, for Ricardo Mathias, 3.5 million dollars, R$ 19.127 million, for Luis Otávio, and 600 thousand dollars, R$ 3.232 million, for 30 percent of Rodrigo Dourado’s sale to América do México.
To date, Jhon Jhon is Bragantino’s only sale, his move to Zenit bringing in around 18.5 million euros, R$ 111.529 million fixed. Goalkeeper Lucão joined Gil Vicente on a free.
Santos and Botafogo complete the top five. Santos earned about R$ 109.233 million, while Botafogo made five sales, the most this window, totalling R$ 108.918 million. In all, five clubs have surpassed R$ 100 million.
