Gre-Nal set for Copa do Brasil quarters, Inter advanced in all five prior knockouts | OneFootball

The Copa do Brasil quarter-final draw has thrown up a Gre-Nal, with Grêmio and Internacional to contest a place in the last four.

According to Globo.com, the first leg is scheduled for 26 or 27 August, with the return on 2 or 3 September. This will be the sixth meeting between the rivals in knockout ties across national or international competitions.

To date there have been five such ties across Brasileirão, Copa do Brasil, the Libertadores qualifying stage and the Copa Sul-Americana twice, with Inter progressing each time.

The bracket was also set on Tuesday. The winner will face Atlético-MG or Cruzeiro in the semi-final and earn R$ 9 million in prize money.

Before the cup clashes, attention switches to the Brasileirão. On Sunday Grêmio visit Atlético-MG at Arena MRV. On Monday Inter host Remo at Beira-Rio.

The pair are two points apart and seeking daylight from the lower reaches of the table. Grêmio sit 14th on 25 points, while Inter are 16th with 23.
