Aston Villa defender Matty Cash has penned a contract extension with the club.

The Poland international will be staying in the west Midlands until at least 2029 having put pen-to-paper on a new deal on Monday.

Cash has been in sensational form at the start of this season, having already scored twice in his nine Premier League appearances so far.

His goal against Manchester City on Sunday helped Unai Emery's side to move up into eighth place.

Cash joined Villa in 2020 and has played over 150 times in the Premier League for the Villa Park club.
