Voetbalkrant are reporting that Anderlecht are one of a number of Belgian Pro League sides looking at signing Brecht Dejaegere. The former Gent midfielder joined Toulouse from the Buffaloes in 2021 after a loan deal for around €1.5m. He was part of the side that won Ligue 2, but now his contract is up and he is keen to return to Belgium.
Anderlecht are reportedly interested in the 32-year-old from Oostende, who also played for Kortrijk before he joined Gent. He was part of the title winning Buffaloes side from 2014/2015. Gent have been mentioned as a possible landing spot for Dejaegere, but that seems unlikely given that they are looking to bring in younger players at the moment.
During his time in Belgium, Dejaegere played 247 games for Gent, scoring 23 goals and providing 30 assists. For Kortrijk, he managed 74 games, with five goals and assists. In France, Dejaegere played 100 games for Toulouse, scoring nine and providing 15 assists.
