The defender has now revealed that he spoke to Douglas Luiz and Nicolas Gonzalez about staying at the club during the summer, when both players were expected to leave.

Juventus had been open to both players leaving for the right price, after they spent last season on loan at different clubs. The Bianconeri were prepared for the possibility of losing them and believed they could still perform well if the departures happened.

Bremer Wanted Teammates to Stay

Gonzalez did not want to play for Juventus again, while Luiz was open to leaving if an offer arrived. However, the Brazilian became more open to remaining after none of his loan clubs completed a permanent deal for him.

Luiz now wants stability and an opportunity to prove that he can perform well in Turin. Meanwhile, Gonzalez was forced to remain at Juventus because there was no serious offer for his signature during the last transfer window.

Bremer spoke to both players in an effort to convince them to stay, highlighting the importance of their presence to the team. The defender believes they can make a significant contribution during the campaign.

Bremer Praises Their Importance

Bremer revealed through Calciomercato:

“I spoke to them, especially with Nico and also with Douglas; they are important players who have character, they have strength, and they will help us do what we have to do this year.”

The comments show the role Bremer has taken within the Juventus dressing room, particularly when it comes to encouraging his teammates to remain committed to the club.

Both Luiz and Gonzalez will now have the opportunity to contribute to Juventus after remaining at the club. Bremer clearly believes their character and strength can help the Bianconeri achieve what they need to accomplish this year.
