Juventus are considering an unexpected contract extension for Nico González, completing a remarkable turnaround after the Argentine spent much of the summer on the transfer list.
The 28-year-old was widely expected to depart Turin during the summer transfer window, with the player himself keen on a return to Atletico Madrid under Diego Simeone following his previous loan spell.
However, with a deal failing to materialize before the deadline, the former Fiorentina winger dedicated himself to head coach Luciano Spalletti’s plans.

González has quickly proven his value in the opening weeks of the season. He made an immediate impact off the bench against Parma, scoring the opening goal in a 2-2 draw before putting in a promising 64-minute display against Milan.
His versatility, capable of playing as a winger, second striker, or attacking midfielder, has made him an invaluable asset for Spalletti amidst early-season injury struggles.
According to La Stampa, via CalcioMercato, González feels fully reintegrated into the squad after receiving strong support from his teammates and explicit backing from Spalletti.

The change in atmosphere has prompted the player to open talks over a new deal, with Juventus now actively evaluating an extension beyond his current agreement, which runs until June 2029 on a net salary of €3.6m per season.
