Breno Bidon has cemented his place in Corinthians’ side this year, starting 25 of 28 matches, and on Sunday he became the club’s first non-defender to surpass 2,000 minutes in 2026. He reached the mark in the 3-1 loss to Botafogo, playing 75 minutes before Allan came on.

A tally compiled by Fiel Imprensa places only four team-mates ahead of the number seven for minutes this year. Hugo Souza has 2,610, Gustavo Henrique 2,340, Matheus Bidu 2,300 and Matheuzinho 2,222.

This is also the most prolific season of Bidon’s career. He has three goals in 2026, more than in the previous two campaigns combined, when he scored two in total.

The midfielder has found the net against Bahia in the Brasileirão, and twice versus São Paulo, once in the league and once in the Campeonato Paulista.

Corinthians now turn to Thursday’s trip to Peñarol in the Libertadores. The fifth-round tie kicks off at 21:30 at the Campeón Del Siglo. The club are already through to the round of 16 with two matches to spare.
