Brentford and Ipswich ‘monitor’ Lyon’s Tanner Tessmann | OneFootball

Brentford and Ipswich Town are monitoring Lyon’s Tanner Tessmann, L’Équipe reports.

The 24-year-old United States international is under contract until 2029. He has 14 caps and one goal, and his athletic metrics have appealed to scouting departments.

Tessmann joined Lyon from Venezia in 2024 for €6m after coming through FC Dallas. He has struggled to convince supporters, and the hierarchy have looked to move him on since the start of the summer.

Paulo Fonseca is said to rate him and has used him in several roles in recent months. Even so, regular criticism has focused on clear technical shortcomings.

Despite that, he featured in 41 matches across all competitions last season, starting 28.
