Gary McDermott's side should have taken the lead early on as Jacob Hanson did well to win the ball back in a dangerous position. His cross found Jai Nwosu who was unmarked in the box but failed to divert goalwards.
Hanson was involved again and on 15 minutes the midfielder jinked his way past two defenders before finding Jai Bansoodeb who only had the keeper to beat but Caspar Lindner made a great stop to deny the midfielder.
The home side were definitely looking the most likely to score however the first period fizzled out with no other action.

A fine piece of play to begin the second period almost opened the scoring for Brentford as neat work from Hanson and Yerime Ouattara saw the latter fire a cross which only just missed the outstretched foot of Jovan Kasujja.
The young Lions took the lead against the run of play as the away side pounced on a mistake at the back and William Wright finished past Connor Wolfheimer finding the bottom corner.
The opportunities continued to come for the Bees as Ethan Balogun looked certain to score but a last-ditch tackle from Harry Whiteman denied the attacker.
On 80 minutes, Wright could have grabbed a brace as he slipped behind his marker and tried to catch Wolfheimer out with an early strike from outside the box but his shot went wide.
The Bees had one final opportunity to draw level as Nathaniel Ogungbemi rose highest from a corner but he failed to get firm connection on the ball to turn it in.
The home side were left to rue missed chances in back-to-back weeks as Millwall managed to see the game out to secure the points.
Brentford U18s are next in action on Saturday 14 February as they take on Watford away from home.
