Bees target revenge after falling to defeat at Spurs less than a month ago

Brentford host Tottenham on New Year's Day in the Premier League, and the game is a reunion for Thomas Frank with his former club.

Frank has already come up against Brentford since becoming Tottenham manager, when his side beat the Bees 2-0 less than a month ago.

But the pressure on the Dane has only increased since then, as Spurs lost 3-0 to Nottingham Forest and then 2-1 to Liverpool.

They did beat Crystal Palace 1-0 in their last outing, albeit inconvincingly, but have still only won three times in their last 10 games in all competitions.

After some poor form of their own Brentford have won their last two games and will come into the game against Tottenham with some confidence.

Date, kick-off time and venue

Brentford vs Tottenham is scheduled for an 8pm GMT kick-off on Thursday, January 1, 2026.

The match will take place at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Brentford vs Tottenham prediction

Brentford are at home and will be buoyed by two positive results in their last two games.

They beat Bournemouth 4-1 in their last game and won 2-0 against Wolves the game before.

Igor Thiago has been in excellent form this season and has 11 Premier League goals already. He is, however, a slight doubt for the game

Thomas Frank will be hoping he can do the double over his former side with another win, but Tottenham have a less than ideal squad available for the game.

It also remains to be seen how the Gtech Community Stadium will welcome Frank, and what effect that has
