The visitors started the better of the two sides and found an opening goal within four minutes through Daniela Aguilar.
The game evened out after Tooting’s early strike, the Bees nearly finding an equaliser through Holly Hawkes, whose shot went wide of the goal.
With 10 minutes to play in the first half it was Tooting who struck next, Lucy Hearn finding the back of the net to double their lead going into half-time.
Despite being down, Brentford nearly found two goals in the second half through Abigail Claringbold, however both chances went wide of the goal.
Despite showing great fight to try and get back in the game, the Bees leaked a third goal on 75 minutes, Aguilar scoring her second of the afternoon to secure the win for Tooting and their place in the next round of the FA Cup.
Speaking after the game, head coach Yannawit Khantharat was pleased with his side’s effort, especially considering the 7-0 defeat they suffered to Tooting in league action earlier this season.
“Last time we played against Tooting Bec we conceded a lot of goals from their set-pieces and crosses, but on Sunday we didn’t concede any goals in this fashion,” said Khantharat.
“Our aim now will be trying to improve our play out from the back and our combinations through the midfield, we want to reduce our long ball play.”
The Bees will enjoy a weekend off this coming week before returning to Bedfont on 1 December to face Camden Down in league action.
