Brest beat Lorient 2-0 on Saturday, ending Lorient's fine run. According to L'Équipe, Ludovic Ajorque drove the hosts and Nathaniel Adjei's errors proved costly.
On 12 minutes, Kamory Doumbia almost won a penalty. Rémy Labeau Lascary then missed from Ajorque's cross on 31 and sliced wide from Doumbia on 36. Adjei also slipped in front of Ajorque during that spell.
Brest led on 50 when Yvon Mvogo came up short at an aerial ball and his clearance fell for Rémy Labeau Lascary to finish. Junior Dina Ebimbe replaced Labeau Lascary on 73 and set up Ajorque for the second on 77, with Adjei losing the duel.
Ajorque, booked on 80, worked tirelessly with runs, link play and defensive set-pieces, and tried his luck on 59. He has now been involved in nine Brest goals in Ligue 1 this season, three goals and six assists.
Adjei's late foul cancelled a Bamo Meïté strike on 84. Arsène Kouassi struggled on the left, made only 30 touches before going off for Darlin Yongwa on 63. Théo Le Bris spared Lorient further damage with a goal-line stop on 90+8.
