Marco Bizot (34) is expected to leave Stade Brestois this summer. The Dutchman has, over the course of the past few seasons, established himself as one of the best shotstoppers in Ligue 1, however, one year before the end of his contract, he is one of many players expected to leave Les Ty-Zéfs in what is expected to be a busy summer at the club.
Means are limited at Brest and so funds to replace some of their departing stars will be limited. However, there is the opportunity to replace Bizot with a free agent, Anthony Lopes (34). The Portuguese goalkeeper did well, having arrived at FC Nantes on a short-term deal from Olympique Lyonnais in January.
Brest are interested in signing Lopes on a free transfer, according to a report from Foot Mercato. Whilst Les Canaris may have intentions to retain the goalkeeper, who succeeded in keeping the club in Ligue 1, Brest are strongly considering an approach.
