Stade Brestois will be without their ultras when they host Marseille at Francis-Le Blé on Friday at 20:45, the opening fixture of Ligue 1 matchday 23.

According to L'Équipe, the LFP disciplinary commission has revoked a suspended sanction and ordered the Quimper stand closed for one match.

The punishment follows incidents during the early February derby with Lorient, a 2-0 win for Brest. The commission cited the use of pyrotechnics that delayed kick-off.

It also took issue with a brief interruption caused by insulting chants and banners aimed at the Morbihan club.

Brest have lost three successive Ligue 1 meetings with Marseille and must try to halt that run without their ultra groups.

The commission met on Wednesday to decide the measure.
