Brest host Toulouse in Ligue 1 at Stade Francis-Le Blé on Sunday, 25 January 2026, with the hosts aiming to nudge towards the top half and the visitors seeking to consolidate an upper mid-table spot.
Brest sit 11th on 22 points, while Toulouse are 8th with 26. The last league meeting between the sides in August ended 2-0 to Toulouse.
Recent form points to a tight contest. Brest's last four league games brought wins over Monaco and Auxerre, but defeats at Rennes and Lyon. Toulouse thumped Nice 5-1 last time out in the league, having also beaten Strasbourg and drawn at Marseille either side of a home loss to Lens.
Availability could matter. Brest are without Romain Del Castillo through suspension and Mama Baldé is injured. Del Castillo has six league goals. Toulouse list Emersonn as suspended, with Abu Francis injured alongside Dayann Methalie and Ilyas Azizi.
The numbers sketch different routes. Brest have scored 24 and conceded 29 in the league, average 43% possession and own a strong 27.84% open play cross accuracy. Ludovic Ajorque leads their supply line with five Ligue 1 assists. Toulouse have 29 goals for and 23 against, average 40% possession and six clean sheets, with threats spread across Yann Gboho and Frank Magri, both on five league goals, and Santiago Hidalgo on four, while Aron Donnum and Djibril Sidibe have three assists each.
A win would take Brest to 25 points and could move them closer to the top half. Toulouse would rise to 29 points with victory and could edge nearer the European places.
