Brest’s Mahdi Camara agrees to OGC Nice move

Mahdi Camara (27) has agreed personal terms with OGC Nice. Talks between Le Gym and his current club, Stade Brestois, are ongoing, as per a report from RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins.

Nice are looking to add extra depth in their midfield. Their options already looked threadbare. The decision was taken not to make Baptiste Santamaria’s loan permanent; Pablo Rosario is on his way out of the club; and Tanguy Ndombélé’s fitness cannot be relied on, as proven by his latest round of surgery, which will keep him out for several weeks.

Morgan Sanson’s injury against SL Benfica last week reminded us of his physical fragility and so Nice have opted to dip into the market. As revealed yesterday, Nice are in talks with Brest regarding a move for Camara, who will be allowed to leave Les Ty-Zéfs this summer.

The midfielder already has an agreement to join Nice. He has agreed to a four-year deal with the Riviera club. It is now up to the two clubs to reach an agreement.
