WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Seagulls just minutes before the closure of the transfer window late last night.
The 30-year-old has spent the last two seasons with Manchester United after joining the club from Arsenal in summer 2022. Parris made 57 appearances for The Red Devils in all competitions in which she scored 25 goals. The forward was a member of the Manchester United side that won the Adobe Women’s FA Cup for the first time last season.
Earlier in her career, Parris was part of a Manchester City side that held every domestic trophy in England while another career highlight saw her win the 2019/2020 UEFA Women’s Champions League with French giants Lyon.
On the international stage, Parris has been capped by England on 71 occasions and she has scored 17 goals for the Lionesses. She has won the SheBelieves Cup, the Arnold Clark Cup and UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 with her country.
After adding Parris to his squad, Brighton & Hove Albion head coach Dario Vidošić said “We’re delighted to bring a player of Nikita’s ability and experience to the club. It signals our ambition as a club.
“Nikita’s record as a goalscorer speaks for itself and she will help us a lot in that regard. She is vastly experienced and will be an excellent role model, particularly for our young players. She is looking forward to getting stuck into a new challenge and we can’t wait to start working with her ahead of our first WSL game next Saturday against Everton.”
Parris is Brighton & Hove Albion’s 12th signing of the summer transfer window.
