Fabrizio Romano reports that Brighton are expected to return for former Leeds United defender Charlie Cresswell after a €23m bid was rejected in January.

Toulouse now value the 23-year-old centre-back at more than €23m, and their price is understood to have risen since the winter window.

Cresswell is an England under-21 international who came through Leeds’ academy but found first-team opportunities limited amid strong competition at centre-back.

He ended more than a decade at Elland Road by joining Toulouse in July 2024 for a fee thought to be about £3.8m.

There is understood to be a sell-on clause that would give Leeds 15 percent of any profit Toulouse make on the defender.
