Brighton travel to Molineux on Sunday, aiming to continue their remarkable dominance over Wolves.
The Seagulls have won on their last four consecutive league visits to this ground. They will be confident of making it five in a row against the Premier League’s bottom club.
Fabian Hürzeler’s side is full of confidence after a stunning 3-1 comeback victory at Chelsea last weekend. That result showcased their resilience, as they have won more points from losing positions than any other team this season. Another victory on the road would solidify their place in the top half of the table.
Brighton manager Fabian Hürzeler is facing a significant injury crisis, particularly in defence. His options are severely limited, with Joël Veltman and Adam Webster both ruled out, alongside Solly March and Jack Hinshelwood. To compound his problems, star winger Kaoru Mitoma is also a major doubt for the match due to a foot injury and will face a late fitness test.
However, there is a major positive in attack, with veteran striker Danny Welbeck in scintillating form. After scoring a brace from the bench against Chelsea, Welbeck is expected to be rewarded with a start to lead the line. His confidence will be high, especially as he faces a Wolves side against whom he has an excellent personal record, having scored six Premier League goals against them in his career.
Brighton predicted XI: Verbruggen; Wieffer, van Hecke, Dunk, De Cuyper; Baleba, Ayari, Gómez; Minteh, Welbeck, Mitoma.
The Premier League fixture will be played at Molineux on Sunday, 5 October 2025, with kick-off scheduled for 2:00 pm BST.
