Bristol City defender Timm Klose has reacted to sealing a fresh agreement with the club by saying he felt an instant connection with the side’s fans when he arrived at Ashton Gate.
The Robins today confirmed that the 34-year-old has put pen to paper on a new one-year deal in BS3.
Klose’s current contract was due to expire next month, with the former Swiss international having only signed a short-term deal when he joined the club back in January.
Since that arrival, Klose says that he is glad he has been able to contribute positively to Bristol City’s efforts.
“I’ve really enjoyed by time at the club since arriving in January and I felt an instant connection with the players, staff and fanbase.” Klose told Bristol City club media.

“I’m glad that I’ve come into the squad and managed to contribute at both ends of the pitch as we finished the season with a bit of momentum, which hopefully we can bring into the season ahead.
“I’d also like to thank Nigel and the club for giving me the opportunity to continue my journey with Bristol City.”
Klose made 18 Championship appearances for the Robins after his arrival mid-way through the 2021/22 season.
It is good to see Bristol City secure a fresh contract agreement with Timm Klose ahead of the summer.
As the defender himself said above, he was able to contribute positively after arriving at the club in January and there is no reason he can not continue to do so going forwards.
That said, Bristol City still need to make plenty of other additions this summer.
Nigel Pearson’s side finished the season sitting 17th in the Championship table, and the Robins boss will want to ensure they do not slide any further down the table next campaign.
