Jordan James thanked the Leicester City fans after their crucial win over Bristol City at the King Power Stadium.
Gary Rowett picked up his first win as Leicester City boss as they beat Bristol City 2-0 at the King Power Stadium.
The former player was named as Marti Cifuentes’ successor until the end of the season back in February, and his remit was simple - to keep the Foxes in the Championship.
Obviously, there’s still a lot of work to do before Leicester’s safety is guaranteed, but the win over the Robins was significant for the club, and it will be seen as a big moment for Rowett as he looks for the team to build momentum during the run-in.

Whilst it was a team effort, there’s no denying the return of Jordan James was massive for the Foxes.
The 21-year-old had missed over a month due to a hamstring injury, but after featuring in the previous two games from the bench, James was handed a start against Bristol City.
And, he made a big impact for Rowett’s side, which included setting up Ben Nelson for the opener to get Leicester off to a fine start.
Abdul Fatawu made it two just before the half-hour mark, to put the hosts in a commanding position, and whilst Jakub Stolarczyk saved an Emil Riis penalty in the second half, Leicester were good value for the win.
Taking to Instagram, James shared his delight at the win, as he also recognised the backing the team received from the fans.
“+3 at home! Big performance last night, thank you for all the support!”
Leicester have had problems on their own turf this season, with the fans understandably frustrated at the way the club has been run.
However, the fast start helped the home support get behind the players, and it was a rare positive night in what has been a tough period for the club.
There’s no denying that Rowett hadn’t made the positive impact that Leicester would’ve wanted in the first few weeks, even if there had been some encouraging performances.
But, the first win is a major relief, and the return of James to the starting XI is a major boost for the boss.

The former Birmingham City midfielder was one of few Leicester players to emerge with credit this season prior to his injury, as he had been enjoying a brilliant individual campaign, scoring nine goals.
As well as that, the assist for Nelson was his fourth of the season, so he has been making a huge contribution to the team in the final third, so Rowett will be glad that he is back and available.
As outlined above, Leicester are still in deep trouble, but there will be a belief that they can get out of trouble following the manner of the win.
It seems clear that James will be huge if they are to finish the season outside the bottom three, and the next challenge is to make it back-to-back wins when they face QPR this weekend.
