Broony and Barry Robson’s reminder of passion Celtic miss badly

Celtic stars of yesteryear pulled their boots back on for the day as they took on their Feyenoord counterparts for a match in aid of charity over in the Netherlands.
The Celtic side would lose out by two goals to one, with our effort arriving from Charlie Mulgrew in an otherwise low key game, if you don’t include the red card shown to our former captain Scott Brown! Broony rolled back the years and even at 40 showed he still had the same burning desire to succeed, even in a glorified kick about for ex pros.
The most successful Celtic skipper in the modern era saw red for what was deemed a last man challenge, leading to him unleashing his fury at the match official, and you can sympathise with the now Ayr Utd gaffer as the decision to award a spot kick and send off Broony was quite outrageous as he clearly won the ball. Pity there’s no VAR available in charity games!
Barry Robson who was also not know for his shyness also tore into the official as his teammate was sent packing, showing that none of them had lost their passion and enthusiasm for the game.
Ironically that’s what we are missing from our current midfield, a bit of steel and aggression. If only we had a Broony or Barry currently available for selection.
