Bruno Arleu de Araújo will referee Santos v Cruzeiro at Vila Belmiro on Saturday 12 at 21:00, in the 27th round of the Brasileirão. The 43-year-old is listed by FIFA-PRO.

According to Diario Do Peixe, his assistants will be Nailton Junior de Sousa Oliveira and Thiago Henrique Neto Correa Farinha, with Heber Roberto Lopes overseeing VAR.

This year he has overseen four Santos matches, goalless home draws with Coritiba and Remo, first legs of the Copa do Brasil fifth phase and last 16 respectively, a 3-0 quarter-final first-leg defeat to Palmeiras at Nubank Parque, and a 3-2 league loss at Grêmio.

Last season he handled the 1-0 defeat at Grêmio and the 1-1 draw with Atlético-MG, both in the league. The previous year he took charge of the 2-1 loss at Sport on the final day of Série B.

In 2023 he returned to Santos duty after a CBF-imposed absence that followed July’s 4-3 home win over Goiás, when he awarded a stoppage-time penalty that secured victory. He also refereed the 2-1 defeat at Cruzeiro in the league and the last-16 exit to Bahia after a 1-1 draw at Arena Fonte Nova, decided 4-3 on penalties.
