Energy Moment of the Matchday 20: Bruno Damiani

Bruno Damiani picked the ideal moment to deliver his first-ever brace for the Philadelphia Union.

The club-record signing scored twice within six minutes, including a 75th-minute game-winner, as the Union rallied from two goals down to defeat New York City FC, 3-2, at Yankee Stadium. 

Damiani's late goal-scoring heroics earned the Uruguayan striker Energy Moment of the Matchday presented by Celsius honors for Matchday 20.

Down 2-0 in the second half, the Union flipped the script behind the inspired play of homegrown sensation Cavan Sullivan. The 16-year-old dished out two assists, first serving up Danley Jean Jacques in the 48th minute before providing the helper for Damiani's equalizer. 

Then it was brother Quinn Sullivan's turn. The second-half substitute put the ball on a plate for Damiani to complete Philadelphia's second-straight comeback from two goals down in MLS play, following their 3-2 win over Atlanta United on Aug. 1. 

Philly have won four straight league games, continuing their post-2026 FIFA World Cup push to get back into Audi 2026 MLS Cup Playoffs positioning. The previously last-place Union are now just five points shy of the Eastern Conference's Wild Card spot.
