Bruno Henrique marked a special weekend by celebrating Uberlândia-MG’s Série D title as Flamengo beat Corinthians 2-1 at the Maracanã.

After a 2-0 win in Alagoas against ASA de Arapiraca, Uberlândia held a 0-0 draw at Estádio Parque do Sabiá in Minas Gerais. The triumph delivered promotion to Série C and a place in the 2027 Copa do Brasil third round. The player said in a post that he congratulated Uberlândia on promotion and the Série D crown, adding they deserved it and thanking the club for launching his career.

Raised on Belo Horizonte’s amateur pitches, Bruno Henrique caught Uberlândia’s eye in 2012. He scored five goals in eight games, drawing interest from Cruzeiro.

He struck his first professional goal at the same stadium on 29 September 2012 against Nacional de Minas Gerais in the Taça Minas Gerais.

After spells with Uberlândia and Cruzeiro, he moved to Itumbiara-GO, then impressed at Goiás before joining Wolfsburg, Santos and signing for Flamengo in 2019.
