According to L'Équipe, Bryan Okoh, 22, the Lausanne centre-back, is expected to sign a three-and-a-half-year contract with AJ Auxerre.
Bottom of Ligue 1 and two points behind Nantes in the relegation play-off spot, Auxerre are close to securing their third winter addition. Naouirou Ahamada has arrived on a free from Crystal Palace and Romain Faivre is on loan from Bournemouth with no option to buy.
Okoh came through at Lausanne. Born in Houston, United States, to Nigerian parents, the Switzerland Under-21 international has five caps and usually plays on the left of a back two.
He has already made 29 appearances this season, scoring once and providing four assists. He can also cover other defensive roles, including in midfield.
He is a double Austrian champion from 2022 and 2023 and lifted the 2022 Cup with RB Salzburg.
Okoh is expected to arrive in Burgundy on Tuesday evening for a medical on Wednesday morning, before finalising the move. The fee would be under three million euros, and completion would mean Auxerre have added a player in each line this window.
