Aston Villa will entertain Leeds United at Villa Park this Saturday afternoon as they look to earn a good result at home in the Premier League. The Villans suffered a disappointing 3-1 loss at the hands of Newcastle United recently, so they would be eager to bounce back by securing a win this weekend.

Unai Emery will set his men up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make some tweaks to his first-team for this clash. Emi Buendia, Jadon Sancho and Ollie Watkins could all play from the start of this game.

Defence

Emiliano Martinez will feature in between the sticks for the Villans after he shipped in three goals in his last outing. Ezri Konsa will operate alongside Pau Torres at the heart of the Aston Villa backline as they focus on keeping things solid at the back during the 90 minutes.

Lamare Bogarde will once again fill in as the right-back, while Ian Maatsen hopes to give a good account of himself on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.

Tyrone Mings and Victor Lindelof will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Amadou Onana and Douglas Luiz will operate as the holding midfielders as they look to win the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park.

The talented trio of Jadon Sancho, Morgan Rogers and Emi Buendia will play just ahead of them as part of the Aston Villa attack. All three of them need to be at the top of their game if the Villans are to secure a convincing win this weekend.

Ross Barkley and Leon Bailey will be named on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if required.

Attack

Ollie Watkins will spearhead the West Midlands club’s attack up top. He has to figure out a way to be a real menace in the final third.

Tammy Abraham will have to settle for a place on the bench as he waits for his chance to make an impact in the latter stages of the game if the Villans need a goal.
