Endika Buján and Jon de Luis will leave Bilbao Athletic, with both considering plausible moves to the Segunda Division as Athletic’s reserve reshuffle begins. According to as.com, Xabier Irurita, Eric Gamen and Iker Aldai are also departing.

Barakaldo-born Buján, 2003, is a speedy right winger who made his first-team debut against Girona. He has played two seasons for Bilbao Athletic, totalling 47 games after arriving from Barakaldo. Cádiz, who have already signed right-back Beñat de Jesús, formerly of Lezama, have registered interest, along with other Segunda teams and clubs abroad.

Jon de Luis, Pamplona 2003, has spent three seasons in the reserves with 85 appearances, and was named in squads for friendlies and Champions with the first team under Valverde after joining from Osasuna in June 2023. A ball-playing centre-back, he has vied with Monreal, Duñabeitia, who is being courted by CD Tenerife, and Izagirre. He is now looking at options in Segunda or in Portugal.

Right-back Xabier Irurita leaves after two campaigns and 48 games. Goalkeeper Eric Gamen, who arrived at Lezama at youth level, featured in four matches with Mikel Santos preferred as starter.

Iker Aldai, on loan from SD Eibar, made 28 appearances in his sole season and now returns to Ipurua as a versatile wing-back. Also moving on are goalkeeper Oier Gastesi, loaned to Arenas, and left-back Javier Elías at SD Amorebieta, signed from Portugalete last year and limited to eight games.
