With Matchday 31 behind us, Bulinews Editor-in-Chief Rune Gjerulff has selected his Team of the Week, set up in a 4-5-1 formation.

Goalkeeper:

Janis Blaswich, Bayer Leverkusen

Thrown in with Mark Flekken injured, Blaswich played a key role in Leverkusen’s derby win over Köln, making eight saves.

Defenders:

Ridle Baku, RB Leipzig

Scored Leipzig’s third goal against Union Berlin and delivered a solid performance on the right side of defence, winning five duels and completing 95% of his passes.

Ramy Bensebaini, Borussia Dortmund

The Algerian defender stepped up with a goal, an assist, and an impressive 12 duels won in Borussia Dortmund’s 4-0 demolition of Freiburg.

Albian Hajdari, Hoffenheim

Operating on the left of a three-man backline, Hajdari was solid defensively while also contributing well to Hoffenheim’s build-up play, registering an assist.

Max Finkgräfe, RB Leipzig

Filling in for captain David Raum, Finkgräfe scored an excellent opener, won all of his duels and completed 92% of his passes.

Midfielders:

Kaishu Sano, Mainz

The energetic Japanese international impressed in midfield against Bayern, winning eight duels and producing three key passes.

Yan Diomande, RB Leipzig

A constant threat for Leipzig, Diomande registered an assist, created four key passes and completed six (!) dribbles.

Michael Olise, FC Bayern

Came off the bench to help Bayern turn a 3-0 deficit into a 4-3 win over Mainz, scoring a brilliant goal and having a major impact on the game in general.

Jamal Musiala, FC Bayern

Like Olise, Musiala was introduced to change the game against Mainz. He posed a constant threat, got on the scoresheet, completed three dribbles and had a 100% passing accuracy.

Maximilian Beier, Borussia Dortmund

Impressed in a wing-back role, scoring Dortmund’s opener, completing two dribbles and making two key passes.

Strikers:

Patrik Schick, Bayer Leverkusen

Stepped up and scored both of Leverkusen’s goals in their 2-1 win over local rivals 1. FC Köln.
