With the seven matchday of the 2025/26 Bundesliga season in the books, Bulinews Editor-in-Chief Rune Gjerulff has selected his Team of the Week, which lines up in a 4-1-4-1 formation:

Goalkeeper:

Mio Backhaus, Werder Bremen

Impressed on his return to the Bremen goal, making nine saves in his side's 2-2 draw with Heidenheim.

Defenders:

Vladimir Coufal, Hoffenheim

Strong performance from the Czech full-back, who made three key passes - including an assist - and won four duels against St. Pauli.

Danilho Doekhi, Union Berlin

Scored a rare brace as Union Berlin secured a 3-1 victory over Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Nico Schlotterbeck, Borussia Dortmund

Produced a solid performance at the back for Dortmund despite their defeat to Bayern. Calm and composed in possession, he made several crucial interventions, including an impressive last-ditch tackle on Michael Olise.

Alex Grimaldo, Bayer Leverkusen

Once again stepped up for Leverkusen, scoring an impressive brace in their thrilling 4-3 win over Mainz. Also made three key passes.

Midfielders:

Angelo Stiller, Stuttgart

Dominated the midfield for Stuttgart, completing 89 percent of his passes. Also provided an assist and got on the scoresheet himself.

Christoph Baumgartner, RB Leipzig

Scored an impressive brace to steer Leipzig to a 2-1 victory over Hamburger SV.

Harry Kane, FC Bayern

Shone in a deeper role, becoming more involved in the game and distributing numerous precise short and long passes. Also opened Bayern’s scoring with a powerful header.

Andrej Kramaric, TSG Hoffenheim

The veteran produced a stunning performance against St. Pauli, creating four key passes - including an assist - and finding the net himself.

Said El Mala, 1. FC Köln

For the second week in a row, Köln’s young magician scored a brilliant solo goal - this time off the bench to rescue a point for his team.

Strikers:

Jonathan Burkardt, Eintracht Frankfurt

Found the net twice in Eintracht's 2-2 draw with Freiburg.
