With the eighth matchday of the 2025/26 Bundesliga season in the books, Bulinews Editor-in-Chief Rune Gjerulff has selected his Team of the Week, which lines up in a 3-5-2 formation:

Goalkeeper:

Kamil Grabara, Wolfsburg

The Polish shot-stopper had a busy day, making a total of seven saves – including a penalty – to help Wolfsburg secure a hard-fought 1-0 win over HSV.

Defenders:

Castello Lukeba, RB Leipzig

An outstanding day for the centre-back, who won all of his duels, completed 91 percent of his passes and capped his performance with a goal in Leipzig's 6-0 win over Augsburg.

Edmond Tapsoba, Bayer Leverkusen

Rock-solid performance from the Burkina Faso international, who completed 96 percent of his passes, won four duels and even scored.

Ramy Bensebaini, Borussia Dortmund

Incredibly strong at the back, Bensebaini won all six of his duels and was reliable both in passing and positional play.

Midfielders:

Joshua Kimmich, FC Bayern

Pulling the strings in midfield as usual, Kimmich completed 96 percent of his passes and scored the relieving opener for Bayern against Gladbach.

Assan Ouedraogo, RB Leipzig

A stunning performance from the central midfielder, who both scored and provided an assist in Leipzig's crushing 6-0 win.

Yan Diomandé, RB Leipzig

Diomandé also contributed significantly to Leipzig's big win, scoring and providing two assists, while completing three dribbles.

Andrej Kramaric, Hoffenheim

The experienced forward contributed with a goal and three key passes, including an assist, in Hoffenheim's 3-1 victory over Heidenheim.

Bazoumana Touré, Hoffenheim

A constant threat on the wing, Touré provided two assists in Hoffenheim's win.

Strikers:

Jonathan Burkardt, Eintracht Frankfurt

Bagged a brace to lead Eintracht to an important 2-0 victory over St. Pauli on Saturday.

Romulo, RB Leipzig

An impressive display from the striker, who both scored and assisted in Leipzig's 6-0 rout.
