Florian Plettenberg reports that Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are monitoring Anderlecht prodigy Nathan De Cat as a potential summer signing. The 17-year-old – who currently features for Anderlecht – has also been linked with Bayer Leverkusen by Sky Germany’s Patrick Berger. A move to the Bundesliga could be in the cards for the Belgian youth international.

Bayern reportedly see the teenage talent (already valued at €7m) as a potential long-term successor to Leon Goretzka. The administrative team at the Säbener Straße will surely be engaging in some deep scouting of De Cat as he features at the FIFA U17 World Cup in Qatar alongside their own prospect Wisdom Mike.

De Cat has already featured in 18 appearances across all competitions for his Belgian Pro League side this season, scoring one goal and registering one assist. Berger reports that Dortmund have already opened up talks with the youngster’s entourage. De Cat’s current contract with his Belgian outfit runs until 2027.
