Brentford are keen on another Burnley forward valued at £20 million, but it's not Zian Flemming...
Burnley are back in the Championship and numerous key players could depart the club, with Brentford eyeing a second deal with the Clarets this summer.
Burnley have been promoted or relegated in each of the last five seasons, with the Clarets eyeing a return to the Premier League at the first time of asking in 2026/27 alongside Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Ham United.
They do not have a manager in place yet, having parted ways with Scott Parker at the end of 2025/26. Their opening game against West Ham is just 51 days away as well, meaning there is plenty of work to do at Turf Moor in the meantime.
They cannot be sure of some areas of their squad without sales, with relegation always likely to spark significant interest in several of their standout performers. Losing players such as Zian Flemming, Jaidon Anthony, and Maxime Esteve would come as little surprise.

Martin Dubravka has already left the club to join Tottenham Hotspur and Burnley could lose Flemming, who is wanted by Brentford. The Dutchman scored 12 in 32 matches in all competitions last season.
The only other player to manage double figures for goal involvements was Anthony, with the winger scoring nine and assisting two in all competitions for the Clarets. Lyle Foster was next with six goal contributions.
It appears that Brentford are eyeing beating Leeds United to Flemming but also Anthony now as well, with Brentford reportedly making an approach for the former today. That is according to Football Insider but a further update has emerged regarding the winger signed permanently from AFC Bournemouth last summer.
Anthony was signed from Bournemouth for around £10 million after promotion activated the purchase clause in his loan. He scored eight and assisted seven for Parker in their 100-point Championship season.
They report that the Bees have emerged as the frontrunners among several Premier League clubs, with Burnley expected to ask for a fee of around £20 million for the 26-year-old.
The report adds that the Brentford move appeals to Anthony. He is from London and began his career in Arsenal's academy and Brentford boss Keith Andrews considers the winger a good fit for his style of play.

Should Brentford firm up their interest, it would be difficult for Burnley to stand in Anthony's way. The prospect of returning to London, where he spent much of his youth career, combined with another opportunity to establish himself in the Premier League, would understandably appeal to the winger at this stage of his career.
From Burnley's perspective, Anthony would undoubtedly be one of the Championship's standout attacking players if retained. His direct running and proven output would make him a huge asset in any automatic promotion push. However, players only receive so many opportunities to play regularly in the top flight.
If Anthony is presented with the chance to return to the Premier League and closer to home, Burnley may ultimately decide that sanctioning a move is the most realistic outcome for all parties. There is already plenty of work to do, though, which is why this will come as a frustration.
Perhaps Brentford will manage a double deal with the Clarets, which would suit both Flemming an Anthony in terms of settling in well. They scored goals in a poor side, so it's clear why Brentford believe they are worth the punt.
