Burnley secured a crucial 2-0 Premier League win against Leeds United at Turf Moor, earning their first victory in six matches and moving out of the relegation zone.

Lesley Ugochukwu put the Clarets ahead in the first half, heading home Kyle Walker’s long throw to give Burnley the lead.

The visitors had a gilt-edged chance before half-time when Brenden Aaronson’s effort was deflected onto the post by Martin Dúbravka, but the visitors were unable to convert their chances.

The game was sealed in spectacular fashion in the second half when French substitute Loum Tchaouna rifled a 30-yard strike into the top corner, marking his first goal for Burnley and ending any nerves for the home fans.

Burnley’s organised defence kept Leeds at bay, while the victory lifts Scott Parker’s side out of the bottom three. Leeds, meanwhile, remain 15th after failing to score.
