Spurs travel to Turf Moor in big game for Thomas Frank
Tuesday’s 2-0 Champions League win over Borussia Dortmund gave Frank some respite but the pressure is still on the Spurs head coach.
Spurs are without a win in four Premier League games and another bad result at Turf Moor would raise fresh doubts over his future.
Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the game…
The match will take place at Turf Moor.
TV channel: In the UK, the game will not be televised live as it lands during the 3pm Saturday blackout.
Live blog: You can follow all the latest with Standard Sport’s live blog, with expert insight and analysis from Sam Tabuteau at the ground.
Free highlights: The Sky Sports app and YouTube channel will show highlights from 5.15pm with Match of the Day broadcasting on BBC One at 10.30pm GMT.
Frank was forced to field a heavily-depleted side for the Dortmund win, including Djed Spence on the left wing.
Frank is missing some key players through injury and he was handed his latest blow when Lucas Bergvall was forced off in midweek.
Joao Palhinha could return, while Conor Gallagher and Mathys Tel are available again after being ineligible in the Champions League,.
As for Burnley, Scott Parker has several problems himself.
Zeki Amdouni, Jordan Beyer and Josh Cullen are all out long-term, hwile Connor Roberts is suffering with an Achilles issue.
Joe Worrall and Zian Flemming are the other doubts this weekend.
A victory in Europe lifted some of the pressure off Frank’s shoulders, but the scrutiny is still on as focus turns back to the league.
He will have some players back for the trip to Turf Moor, but Burnley have made it tricky for the top sides in recent weeks, earning credible draws with Liverpool and United.
Will Spurs have enough to arrest their poor league form and spare their manager the sack?
