Burns praises support of Wales head coach Bellamy

Wales international Wes Burns has praised head coach Craig Bellamy for his support during the winger’s rehabilitation from a serious knee injury.

According to BBC UK, Burns tore his ACL in January 2025 and missed 342 days of action, at times fearing he might not play again.

The Leicester player says Bellamy kept him included throughout his recovery, helping him feel part of the national set-up.

Burns adds that Bellamy framed his situation as a matter of when he regained fitness rather than if he would feature for Wales again.

He remains focused on returning to full fitness, saying the expectation is that a Wales recall follows once he is ready.
