BK Hacken midfielder Silas Andersen has reiterated his happiness in Sweden despite growing transfer speculation, amid continuing interest from Rangers and Wolves.

The 21-year-old Dane attracted a wealth of suitors just a couple of months ago in January, with his name sitting high on Danny Rohl’s wishlist.

Rangers were among the first to make their move but were turned away, before the Denmark Under-21 international received a €4m offer from FC Koln, which was also rejected as BK Hacken made it clear they would not entertain bids below €6m.

Following January’s speculation, and despite already being under contract with the Gothenburg outfit until 2028, Andersen extended his stay by a further year, taking his deal through to 2029.

The 21-year-old voiced his satisfaction with life at the BK Hacken, highlighting how his spell with the Wasps has served as a platform for his breakthrough, with consistent minutes fuelling his development.

He revealed that a pathway had been mapped out for him to gain experience before a potential summer move, though he hinted that any decision over a switch remains open-ended.

Andersen also reflected on his current stint with a sense of contentment, pointing to the strides he has made since his arrival.

Reflecting on his situation, he told Danish outlet Bold: “I’m really happy to play here.

“This is where I had my breakthrough – and it’s still going strong.

“We made a plan when I moved here, which was that I would play a lot of matches and develop.

“The plan has always been that I would switch this summer, but now we’ll have to see.

“I am still really happy and satisfied here.”

Last month, Wolves, along with Trabzonspor, entered the race for the Danish midfielder’s signature, although the Turkish side are only prepared to pay €4m to bring him in.

The Black Sea outfit sit four points off the summit in a three-way title battle with Galatasaray and Fenerbahce and could yet secure Champions League football next season, something neither Rangers nor the Old Gold are currently in a position to offer.

He was instrumental in BK Hacken’s Swedish Cup success last year and it remains to be seen whether he commits to another season with the Swedish outfit or seeks a new challenge elsewhere next term.
