BVB striker Pauls scores for Germany U17 women's team

It was Pauls' debut for the U17 national team, having previously played for the DFB at U15 and U16 level. She was in the starting line-up for the first friendly match on 11 September, which ended in a goalless draw.

In the second fixture on 14 September, the DFB team beat their Danish counterparts by a 2-1 scoreline. Pauls opened the scoring to put the Germany team 1-0 ahead in the 10th minute. After Denmark equalised, a penalty kick in the 86th minute secured victory for the DFB juniors.
