After several months on the sidelines, Mohamed Amine Tougai has returned to full training with Espérance Sportive de Tunis.

The Algerian international was back on the pitch with his teammates during Tuesday’s session, which was notably marked by the absence of Maher Kanzari due to health reasons.

Tougai’s last appearance for the Blood and Gold dates back to October 5, 2026, in a Tunisian clasico against Etoile Sportive du Sahel (Matchday 9, Ligue Pro 1), when he was subbed off at the end of the first half due to injury.

Back for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, the Fennecs’ defender played the third group stage match against Equatorial Guinea, but suffered another setback and was forced to withdraw from the rest of the tournament.

After a period of recovery, the 26-year-old defender is back in action and expected to be available for the upcoming trip to Bamako, where the Blood and Gold will face Stade Malien this weekend as part of Matchday 5 of the CAF Champions League.
