The CAF executive committee said in a statement that it had unanimously reaffirmed its support for FIFA president Gianni Infantino on Thursday, adding that it welcomed his apology on Wednesday and that respect for governance, due process and transparency is essential and non-negotiable.
Infantino’s plan to bring private investors into the World Cup had triggered strong opposition from UEFA and Concacaf.
In recent days, the confederations were asked to set out their positions on the proposal.
Amid the fallout, Infantino convened a crisis meeting in Morocco on Wednesday.
Several FIFA figures, including his number three, Kevin Lamour, did not attend.
