Cagliari sign Fazzini on loan from Fiorentina with eight million euro option

Cagliari have signed Jacopo Fazzini from Fiorentina on loan, with an option to buy at the end of the season. It is widely reported that the overall package is about eight million euros.

The Sardinian club are busy in this window after securing head coach Fabio Pisacane on an improved contract.

Fazzini and Harry Winks arrived today, meeting media and supporters at the airport before heading to complete medicals.

The Italian midfielder came through Empoli’s academy, then joined Fiorentina in the summer of 2025. He slipped down the pecking order after Paolo Vanoli replaced Stefano Pioli and was not in Fabio Grosso’s plans either.

Winks is set to follow from Leicester City, eager to leave after their latest relegation to the English equivalent of Serie C.
