Cahuzac’s bold first Lens XI for Monaco as Abline starts for the first time | OneFootball

Yannick Cahuzac, promoted to head coach on Tuesday, has named a bold first RC Lens XI to face Monaco at Stade Louis-II on Friday at 20:45. According to L'Équipe, Matthis Abline starts for Monaco.

Cahuzac took charge after the departure of Dino Toppmöller and his staff. Jean-Clair Todibo, who featured at Le Mans on Sunday in a 2-2 draw, now makes his first Lens start, as do 17-year-old Mezian Mesloub and recent recruit Junior Kadile.

Florian Thauvin captains Lens, with Abdallah Sima also starting in attack alongside Mesloub.

Amadou Haidara and Michael Cuisance form the double pivot. Ismaëlo Ganiou misses out with a hip problem, so Kyllian Antonio and Matthieu Udol line up with Todibo in central defence.

For Monaco, new signing Abline is handed his first start and Edan Diop also makes the XI. Denis Zakaria wears the armband.
