Although Nigeria holds the unfortunate record for most lost finals in the Africa Cup of Nations, the Super Eagles can take solace in being the team with the highest number of podium finishes in the tournament's history.

Indeed, the Super Eagles have reached the podium 16 times: three-time champions, five-time runners-up, and eight times finishing third. It's also worth noting they've never lost a third-place playoff.

Trailing them, Egypt—with their record seven titles—have 13 podium finishes (three lost finals and three third-place finishes). Ghana follows in third, with 10 podium appearances (four titles, five lost finals, and a third place in 2008).
