The Comoros squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations

Comoros national team coach Stefano Cusin has Over the past few hours unveiled the official list of 26 players selected to take part in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, which will be held in Morocco from December 21 to January 18.

The Italian tactician has notably called up left winger Amir Zaid and defender Yanis Kari, both promoted to the senior team after impressive performances at the ongoing Arab Cup in Qatar. This marks their first appearance under Cusin's leadership.

This edition will be the Comoros' second-ever participation in the AFCON, following their memorable debut at the 2021 tournament in Cameroon.

Placed in a challenging group alongside hosts and heavy favorites Morocco, as well as Mali and Zambia, the Comoros squad faces a daunting task.

The “Coelacanths” will kick off their campaign in the tournament’s opening match against Morocco on December 21 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
