Egypt's unbeaten record remains unmatched

Egypt/@CNN Arabic
Egypt holds a unique record at the Africa Cup of Nations—the longest unbeaten streak in the tournament’s history.
Between 2004 and 2017, the Pharaohs achieved what no other team has ever done: going 24 matches without a single defeat.
It was during this legendary run that they clinched three consecutive titles in 2006, 2008, and 2010 under Hassan Shehata.
It’s worth noting that Egypt missed three AFCON tournaments during this era: the 2012, 2013, and 2015 editions.
Here are the detailed matches of this historic unbeaten streak:
20/01/2006 Egypt – Libya 3-0
28/01/2006 Egypt – Ivory Coast 3-1
03/02/3006 Egypt – DR Congo 4-1
07/02/2006 Egypt – Senegal 2-1
10/02/2006 Egypt – Ivory Coast 0-0 (Final: 4-2 on penalties)
26/01/2008 Egypt – Sudan 3-0
30/01/2008 Egypt – Zambia 1-1
04/02/2008 Egypt – Angola 2-1
07/02/2008 Egypt – Ivory Coast 4-1
12/01/2010 Egypt – Nigeria 3-1
16/01/2010 Egypt – Mozambique 2-0
20/01/2010 Egypt – Benin 2-0
17/01/2017 Egypt – Mali 0-0
