Canada’s Luc de Fougerolles set for Real Salt Lake loan move from Fulham | OneFootball

According to NY Times, Canada international defender Luc de Fougerolles is set to join Real Salt Lake on loan from Fulham. The 20-year-old will move until January, with an option to extend through to May, covering the end of the shortened 2027 MLS sprint season.

De Fougerolles featured in all five of Canada’s World Cup matches, starting four, including the co-hosts’ last-16 3-0 defeat to Morocco on 4 July. It was Canada’s deepest run in the men’s World Cup.

The centre-back was born in London but has represented Canada since 2024, earning 18 caps.

He spent last season on loan at Belgian club Dender EH. He made his Fulham debut in a 3-1 Carabao Cup win over Ipswich Town in November 2023 and both of his appearances for the west London club have come in that competition.

Last July, he signed a four-year contract at Craven Cottage running through to 2029.

Real Salt Lake are currently 10th in the Western Conference of MLS.
