Following their 2-1 away win in Campania, tomorrow afternoon will see the second leg of the Women’s Italian Cup quarter-finals between the Juventus Women’s First Team and Napoli Women, with a place in the semi-finals at stake.
Massimiliano Canzi previewed the match in his usual pre-match interview.
"The improvement we saw in the second half against Parma came from the girls' collective awareness rather than my encouragement. We are a mature group, capable of understanding for ourselves when we are not performing to our full potential on the pitch. I am very pleased with this; it's a sign of significant growth."
"We're starting with the advantage we gained in the first leg, but we mustn't be fooled by this lead because qualification for the semi-finals is still completely up for grabs. Napoli have already shown that they know how to play their cards right, play their own game and compete at a very high level. We will prepare for the match knowing that it will be no walk in the park. In games like this, where the small details make the difference, it is imperative to maintain a high tempo and intensity for the full 90 minutes. We cannot afford to let our concentration slip: this will be the key to the game."
"The girls are doing well, and in such a busy period, being able to choose from all the players is a key factor. I must thank the athletic and medical staff for their excellent work, they allow me to evaluate every option so that I can field the best team possible."
