Juventus Women will face Inter tomorrow in the semi-final of the Serie A Women's Cup. The Bianconere will play the Nerazzurri at the Romeo Menti stadium at 18:00 CEST in Castellammare di Stabia after qualifying for the Final Four.
Juventus coach Massimiliano Canzi gave his thoughts on the match during the usual pre-match press conference.
"We knew it would be a difficult match against Napoli Women, and wanted only one outcome. It's not easy to beat anyone at this level, they're all top teams, and above all, they're all very organised. It wasn't easy to get the win, especially with more goals than them. We did very well to do it and we did a great job not to concede, which led us to a qualification that was by no means a foregone conclusion.
"Inter are a very balanced, organised and pragmatic side. We met several times last year and we were the two teams that performed best. It will be a difficult match, one we must approach with great care and respect. We've had a few more days than usual to prepare for the game and we've certainly made the most of that time to get ready in the best possible way.
"It's difficult to comment on the draw because the Women's Champions League features all of Europe's strongest teams. The level of opposition would have been very high in any case. We're very confident that we can do well because we're working towards that. Doing well in Europe's top competition is one of our goals for the season.
"Returning to play at the Allianz Stadium, as we will do against Benfica and Manchester United is certainly an honour. It's already a very important competition, and then to have the chance to play it on a stage like Juventus Men's stadium, it's clearly a huge honour.
We expect and need tremendous support from our fans. It would be great, as was the case last year when we played there, to see a few empty seats, not least because the Women's Champions League is a huge spectacle."
