Cape Town City played to a thrilling 2-2 draw with Motsepe Foundation Championship log leaders Milford FC at Athlone Stadium on Tuesday.

Citizens' sensation Emile Witbooi opened the scoring in the 8th minute, before the visitors leveled matters on the stroke of half-time.

The KwaZulu-Natal-based outfit took the lead against the run of play in the opening 10 minutes of the second half of the top-of-the-table clash.

Explosive winger Jaedin Rhodes restored parity in the 67th minute to continue his red-hot form in the second-tier this season.

City remain third with 36 points picked up from 20 league outings, and trail the table-toppers with one point.

The John Comitis-owned team will swing back to action with a tie against Highbury on Friday, 13 March as they look to consolidate their promotion quest.
